My Personal Story…

I didn’t plan to put my career on hold, but when my two sons were born, I chose to become a stay-at-home mom. I felt they needed me more than I needed a career—and I wanted to be fully present for those early years. Even though daycare would have been a perfectly valid choice, this was simply the path that fit our family best.

Like any loving mother, I cherished nurturing them academically, emotionally, and spiritually, and staying home with them allowed me to do that in a way that felt natural for us. But the truth? It wasn’t always easy.  At times it was truly exhausting. My days revolved around homework, sports, church, school activities–you name it–with little time to rest or recharge.

My husband worked long hours, so most of the daily responsibilities fell to me. I often felt overwhelmed. Volunteering became my outlet—tutoring children and adults, supporting natural disaster relief efforts with the American Red Cross, and exploring creative hobbies like paper crafting. These moments helped me reconnect with myself.

But over time, I began to feel consistently worn down and not quite like myself. I was great at caring for others—but I had neglected my own well-being. Eventually, my body made that clear.

I visited several doctors, hoping to get to the root of what I was experiencing. While I’m grateful for their care, most solutions focused on prescriptions. I wanted to explore additional options that addressed my whole well-being—so I began making small changes: healthier eating, natural supplements, essential oils, and anything that helped reduce stress. Slowly, my energy returned, and I began to feel like myself again.

Having Sleep Issues?

What Helped Me Finally Sleep Better

I used to wake up feeling exhausted, mentally drained, and frustrated– almost like I hadn’t slept at all.  What I didn’t realize is that my body was running low on a key mineral that’s essential for deep, restful sleep.

Ever wake up feeling like a zombie because you couldn’t fall asleep or kept waking up all night?  That was me more often than not. I thought that losing a few hours of sleep didn’t matter.  But it does. Sleep is not just about not being awake. It’s your body’s Sabbath to help repair, rest, and restore, so you can get and stay healthy.  I started looking for natural ways to get back on track, and found out about this magnificent mineral: Magnesium L-Threonate.

If your sleep has felt off, don’t ignore it. Give your body what it needs to truly rest and restore.

Here are a few things that made the difference for me:

  • Magnesium L-Threonate

  • Eating Healthier

  • Healthy Relationships

  • Herbal Tea

  • Specific kinds of exercise

  • Being better at saying “No”… and “Yes”

  • A consistent bedtime routine

  • Less screen time at night

  • Essential oils— -which quickly earned a spot in my daily  routine

  • And, of course, prayer and time with God

How I Became a Copywriter…

After my youngest son went off to college, the nest was officially empty. I sadly found myself with free time and a question I hadn’t asked in years— “What’s next for me?”

One day I came across a job looking for someone to write mattress reviews. I thought to myself– who writes those… and how do you even describe a mattress in a way that people want to read?

Out of pure curiosity, I applied.

I didn’t get the job, but that moment sparked something in me.

I wanted to learn more about copywriting, so I did. I began writing about healthy living and personal development— something I’ve lived, struggled through, and come to deeply value.

What started as a personal journey of wellness has become a calling to help others through the power of words.

*I’ve written for healthy living startups, legal research startups, and nonprofit startups. Also, I enjoy writing inspirational content.
